Steady Steps
Our Steady Steps program embraces a 2.5-year-old child’s developing language, social, emotional and imaginative skills. The children experience independent exploration and social interactions through interactive play. State-of-the-art resources and in the classroom keep expanding upon the child’s experience. The materials chosen support fine and gross motor skills, imaginary play, developmentally appropriate letter and number awareness as well as creating a sense of community in class.
Verbal, social and fine-motor skills are developed through imaginative art projects. Our focus on art lessons is always process-oriented rather than product-oriented. Math and science learning tools are incorporated into the classroom and provide each student unique challenges on an individual level. These exploratory activities encourage an inquisitive mind and introduce the concept of cause and effect.
Music and Movement weekly lessons expose children to a variety of musical styles and sounds through dance and instruments. Children are exposed to musical instruments and songs and are encouraged to explore tempo, pitch and rhythm. We also provide daily physical activity as a core part of the curriculum. The little ones develop an understanding of rules and organization, a sense of teamwork and fair play, and build strong values and strong muscles at the same time.
