Celebrating Diversity and Life’s Journey:
Events and Festivals at Playful Minds

At Playful Minds Preschool, our vibrant tapestry of learning extends beyond the classroom, embracing the richness of cultures, traditions, and experiences. We take great pride in fostering an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and celebrated. Our calendar comes alive with a mosaic of festivals like Eid, Holi, Diwali, Christmas, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Easter.

These celebrations provide a beautiful platform for children to embrace diversity, learn about various cultures, and appreciate the beauty of unity in our world.

In addition to festivals, our school hosts a spectrum of events that touch upon different aspects of life. From Grandparents Day, where cherished bonds are celebrated, to Helper Day, where the importance of community and gratitude is honoured, we ensure that each celebration resonates with life’s invaluable lessons. Through events like Teacher’s Day, Nelson Mandela Day, and Tiger’s Day, we instil values of respect, compassion, and awareness, imparting valuable life lessons to our young learners.

Join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of life through events and festivals that not only create beautiful memories but also lay the foundation for a future where our children grow as empathetic, informed, and globally aware individuals.

Graduation 2022-23

Embracing the spirit of Dr. Seuss, our preschool graduation became a canvas of dreams, where ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’ echoed with promises of boundless possibilities. The children, donned in vibrant gowns and whimsical caps, stood as symbols of resilience, growth, and the infinite potential within each tiny heart.

Tears of pride and joy flowed freely in the audience, witnessing the transformation of our little learners into stars, ready to illuminate the world. Beyond the academic milestones, this ceremony marked the beginning of a lifelong love for learning, curiosity, and discovery. As we navigated through heartfelt speeches and shared anecdotes, it was evident that we were not just celebrating an end; we were ushering in a new chapter of exploration, imagination, and a shared commitment to nurturing the bright minds in our care. The memories of this enchanting day linger as a testament to the incredible journeys our preschoolers have begun, leaving indelible imprints on their hearts and ours.

Holi

Immersed in the vibrant hues of Holi, our celebration of the festival of colors ushered in the joyous arrival of spring with exuberance and laughter. Dressed in pristine white, the children arrived armed with water guns and dry colors, transforming our space into a canvas of kaleidoscopic delight.

Laughter echoed as parents and children alike reveled in the festivities, engaging in a myriad of activities that brought the spirit of Holi to life. From water-filled pools and spin art to the artistic chaos of spray painting the ‘Holi people’ and creating splat paintings, the day was a kaleidoscope of creativity. Participants indulged in crafting organic colors and exploring water balloon art, adding an extra layer of eco-friendly joy to the celebration. Our surroundings mirrored the festivity with colorful buntings, kites, and phirkis, creating a visual feast for all. As the day unfolded, the highlight emerged—a delightful feast featuring the traditional and cherished aloo puri, uniting everyone in the warmth of shared traditions and the spirit of Holi.

Sports Day

Stepping into the spirited realm of Sports Day, a day that unites every child in our school, we commenced with an energetic march past, refining hands and legs coordination while setting the tone for a day filled with preschool enthusiasm. The morning unfolded with a unique rendition of Surya Namaskars—the preschool way—amidst resounding cheers from proud parents.

The ceremonial torch, a symbol of the day’s commencement, was proudly carried by none other than our little preschool torchbearers, casting a glow of excitement over the proceedings. The day brimmed with thrill as the children engaged in flat races, obstacle courses, showcasing skills tailored for their age group. Amidst the cheers and laughter, the little ones took home not only pocketfuls of medals but also cherished memories, etched in the heart of our annual celebration of youthful energy, sportsmanship, and collective joy.

Halloween

Diving into the enchanting world of Halloween, our school transformed into a spooky haven as the children, adorned in an array of costumes from pumpkins to witches, superheroes to Harry Potters, arrived in the evening to cast their magical spells. The school was a sight to behold, bedecked with webs, ghosts, and witches creating an atmosphere that was both eerie and exciting.

The spooktacular evening unfolded with a plethora of sensory activities, including a mobster bin, slime potion mixing, and spooky ghost balloons, captivating the children’s imaginations. Fine motor skills took center stage as little ones rescued spiders with tweezers and crafted pumpkin sun catchers. The celebration continued with games like toss the witch’s hat, pin the boo, shoot the skeleton, and boo-loon-toss, infusing laughter and camaraderie into the night. The crowning moments were marked by the mesmerizing skills of a balloon sculptor and magician, casting a spell of delight over our Halloween extravaganza, making it an unforgettable evening of spooks and spectacular surprises.
